Additional Information

  • For A. Camus it is a variety of Q.pubescens ; - For O. Schwarz, it is a subspecies of Q.faginea ; - For Govaerts & Frodin, and for today’s Spanish Authors (Rivas-Martinez, Saenz, Vázquez) it is a hybrid between Q.canariensis and Q.pubescens subsp. subpyrenaica; - For many other European Authors, it is a hybrid between Q.pubescens and Q.faginea , which is more matching with the morphological characters and with the opinion of Camus and Schwarz;
