Additional Information
– A. Camus : n° 248; – Sub-genus Quercus, Section Quercus, Series Leucomexicanae, Group Reticulatae; – Possible confusion with Q. repanda , but the leaves of this species have veins slightly or not impressed adaxially, and moreover the geographical distribution is not the same : Q. repanda is found in the South of the 22th parallel, at less than 2300 m. – Possible confusion as well with Q. potosina , but this species has foliar margin weakly revolute, less coriaceous leaves, abaxial side of the leaf yellowish to golden because of the abundant glandular trichomes.
